With the devastation of the conflict, Portland is working again with a broad range of parties led by the Palestinian private sector to re-evaluate, update and consider the implementation of the strategic masterplan put together after the last conflict: Global Gaza, Connected Palestine. Portland has long worked with this group of leading Palestinian businesses to champion this comprehensive long term spatial vision for Gaza that sets out in detail 70 implementable projects with great catalytic potential to create effective change in the underlying economic condition.
Portland is working to offer this strategic, economic-based blueprint for future growth to Gaza and the international community, based on its use by organisations such as the World Bank as a ference for more detailed plans, in that case under the Integrated Cities and Development Project.
