Suzanne Jacobs joined The Portland Trust in June 2014 and has been CEO since October 2015. Previously, she spent 25 years with Herbert Smith Freehills in London and Hong Kong. She worked initially as a lawyer specialising in commercial litigation before moving into a senior management role focusing on the Firm’s strategic planning and implementation and practice management.
Suzanne has also worked in the voluntary sector-recently advising and undertaking a strategic review of a leading interfaith organisation; developing a business plan for a health and social care charity and participating as a member of the Commission on Women in Jewish Leadership with particular focus on seeking to introduce standards of gender equality across communal organisations. She is a trustee of The Council of Christians and Jews.
